As a turtlemom, I treasure this photo of my first adopted turtle girl who passed from cancer years ago. The small turtle is now grown up and is my largest girl now. They shared a close bond. As a mom, you always remember and treasure your kids. Be it 2 legs or 4 legs. You want the best for them. ❤️

It there a way to change the color of the skirting boards? My tort became less stressed with a new enclosure with brown boards.There is a piece of plexiglass on 1 side. He would have to stretch up to see through the plexiglass panel if he wants to see his swimming turtle neighbors.
Im here for the cute animals, learning a small something new sometimes, and some politics. But, if one does post a cute animal, we should be able to post how cute they are. I appreciate dogs & cats & most animalls. Heres a cute turtle boy.

This is my big 20 yr old female RES warming up near the fridge while her tank was cleaned. The 2 white spots on her shell are from her taking a header this past summer while gravid. Vet said she superficially cracked her shell & no internal bleeding.🙏 Her shell is healing & tank covered better. ❤️🐢

In light of what has happened in the last 36 hours in this country, - We must remain peaceful in doing our 1st amendment rights. Our kids, grandkids and great grand kids are depending on us to keep clear heads and remain peaceful.
Too much disappointment today. Oil piracy, kidnapping a leader from a sovereign nation, threatens a handful of other nations they are next. That is dangerous. 🍊needs to find reality.

This is what we have. We have to use a heat emitter at night for him as it gets cold this time of year. Basking heat lamp for daytime. His hard resin cave is in the far corner area under the heat emitter.
Your tortoise is so cute! 🥰 I have a Russian tortoise in addition to my turtles. Question- did you make the cave for your tortoise? If so, what is it made of? My tortoise is a climber and I’d like to figure out something where he can climb & be king of the hill. He has a ceramic cave for his house.
