And it is moments like these which make Comic-Con - even after all these years - still one of my favorite places in the whole wide world. #SDCC #SDCC26 #ComicCon (Photo credit: @outsidecomiccon.com who you should follow!)
Now where have we seen this before? Ah, yes… Deep Space Nine ftw…
Reading this description of NBA salary cap logistics and shenanigans makes me even angrier that MLB owners want to import this bullshit. How about we keep a system where players compete on a (mostly) open market and teams can decide whether or not they want to spend money for those players? 🤔🤷♂️
Hey @bluejays.com - time to move to BlueSky! Also, FOR THE LOVE OF JOE CARTER, CAN SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE KERNING ON DALTON‘S UNIFORM? The man’s fighting for an All-Star spot with a Letterman-esque gap in his nameplate, ffs. Brother looks like he’s wearing a “Dune III” tie-in. (VA’ RSHO)
Again, what’s up with this weak-ass “no known background” shit?? “Pulte has no background” is shorter, clearer, more direct. I mean, this is really J school 101 stuff.
I interned at the George Michael Sports Machine. First time in the studio, I watched him push the button to start the tape playback, and while we were away at highlight, a union guy walked out and pressed “stop” on the tape machine. So George could restart it for next highlight. Because: television.
Gotta hand it to NYT - they're always alert to the possibility that the housing chud MAYBE HAS AN UNKNOWN background in intelligence! In fact, he may be undercover right now! You don't know!!! Maybe he's actually the world's greatest secret agent! Tools.
I don’t know that we’re prepared, as a society, to really grasp the horror committed by this person. People don’t want to hear it, much less confront it. Troubled times…
The more 47 and his supporters attack the Pope with their "stick to religion" shtick, I wonder if they realize what they're saying? Cause if you wanna draw a bright line between church and state, and tell religious leaders to but out of politics? Frankly, I'm here for it.
That’s too bad. They really should have brought him down a long time before now.
Okay! My bad. Which part of this am I supposed to be replying to? Happy to do so - just didn’t see a part that necessarily needed clarification. If you do want an actual reply, try short declarative sentences with a subject, verb and object, preferably in that order, and we’ll see how it goes.
“Stop being weak and terrible” is SUCH a low, low bar for Dems to clear. The fact that they repeatedly cannot even do that reminds me so much of Python’s legendary “Upper Class Twit of the Year” sketch…
This guy keeps talking about having “future inaugurations” in his shitty ballroom and, I’m sorry, but did you see how many people were there for Obama? You’re gonna put that number of people into a ballroom? I mean, we’ll take the win where we can: at least he’s talking about future inaugurations!
Sure, she’s “condemning,” BUT! I mean, really: Seek professional help. Your child is at risk of being sent to a concentration camp by Orange Julius Caesar, but you STILL can’t quite get to the appropriate emotional response, “fuck this guy to Hell forever”??? What is wrong with these people???
My favorite part: THIS GUY thinks he’s NOT at risk of being pulled from his car one night by roving gangs of government thugs targeting “people who look” like they MIGHT be committing a misdemeanor violation. Good luck, brother! (Tool…)
When journalists express dismay at how the NYT is being run, this is a prime example. Today, our VP has multiple times told people to watch a video where an ICE agent kills then curses out a woman in Minnesota. Protests of the killing are springing up nationwide. Burying that story is a CHOICE.
This came to mind while reading about McClatchy, owners of newspapers, salivating over the possibility of replacing their human reporters with digital clones who never tire, never call in sick, never ask for more money… and, sadly, never can be counted on to deliver truthful, accurate information. 🤷♂️
If Olivia Nuzzi fell in love with a baker: "He kneaded. He needed to knead, and I needed to watch him knead, and need me, and knead me, the way he needed (and kneaded) the other things in his life. Also, he had a Ceti Eel in his ear, like Chekov in Star Trek II." (Also: the alt text for the image!)
