My boy was gone for 2 weeks after deciding to break through a screen. He was seen in the neighborhood, I did all what has been suggested & I took old litter & made paths to my house where I had a trap. He wasn't happy but I got him in the trap in my garage. Good luck. The trap, just after, next day
