It’s not that I don’t relate to the original, but this is SPOT ON. I mean, what are you all even doing? Oh yeah. And because it’s obligatory: Take me to your leader… No, not that one! Ugh. Why do I even try?

My volunteer milkweed started blooming this year. Guys! Guys! There is a monarch butterfly on it already!! I’m doubtful though whether the large and aggressive ants that cultivate it will let the caterpillars survive.

I started doing ceramics again after about 10 years, and I’m having a blast. This is my first piece, ready to go in the kiln for its initial firing. Fingers crossed it won’t crack or explode.

My clematis is doing super well this year. Probably until the weather turns ridiculously hot later in the summer.

They changed the English subtitles on Perfect Crown, and me no likes! 😭 It’s really jarring. There were some things in the old subtitles that could have been better, no question. But the new ones didn’t improve them, just made a lot of other things worse. Give me my subtitles back, dammit!

This book hit my sweet spot. A good story, lots of world building, and a slow burn romance. There is so much detail that I keep finding new things each time I read it. I’ve read it about five times in a row now which is kinda hilarious if you know what the story is about. I highly recommend.

This is a small wildflower on the Mendocino coast. I’m having lots of fun with my Moment macro lens. 😊

Dawn over Mendocino this morning

The light is dim except for a some salmon clouds and a gold wedge of sun over the hills. In the foreground are simply lit grasses and flowers . A few buildings appear at a distance on the left.

The color of the cloud is bright orange and they have expanded from the horizon. The hills and grass are slightly more distinct, and the sea is silvered.

The orange clouds are brighter and almost fill the horizon behind the hills. The sea is a brighter silver and the grasses in the foreground are starting to gain color.

The sun has started to peek over the hills now.
