A little light reading of @artbutmakeitsports.bsky.social book for my sports-obsessed 4-year-old.
Today is the Ryan Baseball Classic at Target Field. There are nearly 1,000 Ryans gathered at the game. The only Ryan in the lineup - Twins SS Ryan Kreidler - just doubled in his first at-bat and the Ryans went nuts.
This isn't exactly in the same style as those posters, but I recently saw this ad from a local business that included a photo of a town that is NOT the town the company is supposedly in.
I probably should have made this last night instead of this morning, but here it is anyway:
Not feeling especially patriotic today, but we did watch some old WWII planes fly over the lake.
Per usual from Roth, this is a must-read. This sentence in particular got me:
Really, Target? Back to school stuff already? It's still June. My kid had school earlier this month...
Also, this is my chance to once again die on the hill that media outlets shouldn't be photoshopping a player's new jersey on him for graphics like this.
Ohtani vs. Ryan? Nah. Biggest matchup of the night is the Red team vs. the Silver team. (And yes, that's my son's first-ever at-bat in T-ball)
Most of the Guy Fieri creations I see at gas stations look repulsive, but if we're being honest...I'd try the chorizo biscuit.
Really enjoyed the chance to hear from @artbutmakeitsports.bsky.social today at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. It was a fun peek behind the curtain of one of my favorite social media accounts – and a good opportunity to buy his book!
I'm covering the Minnesota sporting event that everyone is talking about tonight.
Two games being played in these buildings tonight. One is slightly more significant...
I think @davidjroth.bsky.social would disagree that the Mets are either No. 1 or hot.
Beautiful night for a hot air balloon ride (or to just watch it from the ground).
