Still looking good, colour is fading slightly. Hoverflies are loving it.

That’s it. Fully open pretty much. By the morning they’ll fade, within a day they’ll be ragged. I’d really like to go to one of the valleys these types of cacti grow in Argentina and see hundreds of them doing it at once. Next up hopefully the Trichocereus will follow suit.

Pretty much opening in front of my eyes. The colour is almost luminous, I suspect this is a night light wavelength thing. They fade to almost white fairly quickly. Scent is subtle. They’re pollinated by moths in the wild, hence the nighttime extravaganza.

The Echinopsis Eyreisii has just started doing its show. One night only.

Looks very much like the eyriesii will be doing its thing tonight.
