It's simple, I see AI slop instead of press kit media or pictures, I block. Not worth my time to read, they can't even get CONVINCING slop.
#13 of 2026, calling it here, Slay the Spire 2. Excited for the early access period to keep trucking along, but I have to tap out here. I've stopped enjoying the A10 grind (with clears on the Silent, Regent, and Defect) and will wait before I come back. And yes, it's a skill issue. ⤵️
#0011 of 2026: 007 First Light. My praises, in no particular order: a story entrenched in AI, technology, and family; buttery smooth and tactical gameplay, and environments and mechanics that are right at home in a Bond film. The one gripe I have? Capitalism. (Product placement) ⤵️
I agree entirely, I'd love to see them commit to something more advanced than what Gadget Racers was doing in 2000...
I can think of several better ways to improve your gaming setup with $1500 than giving it to Herman Miller.
Game #10 of 2026: PRAGMATA. In general: loved the concepts, graphics on point, but the storytelling face planted. Hard. Like they never knew what they were writing but knew they had to include certain moments. That said, I'm telling my kids that this was Artemis II. Spoilers below ⬇️
Little Debbie, I think we all know the reason you didn't make a shirt with "nutty buddy" on it
Game 9 of 2026 is I Love You, Colonel Sanders. I don't think it was the weirdest visual novel I've ever played... But I think it was the perfect punishment for losing a bet. I also tried a KFC jellybean and some KFC potato chips while my partner and I blasted through it.
#8 of 2026: MOUSE: PI for Hire. I have a lot of complicated feelings about MOUSE, but if you're a DOOM/boomer shooter fan, you're probably in for a treat! On the whole: it was good, and fun as an experience. I forgot about the hint feature, so frustrated myself more, but also experienced a few bugs
And very close together, it's game #6 of 2026! Goldeneye 007 for the N64 (Switch version, but with the N64 controller!). Even using the emulator tools to my advantage, 00 Agent mode made me give up before reaching the end, and I did the last couple of main story missions and rolled credits on Agent.
I like this by Nintendo. But, can we acknowledge this is still ignoring the $50 to $60 jump? Like they were perfectly happy to make physical games and digital the same price then, and many games on all platforms are releasing at $70+ digitally. So... Why now?
