As housing development planning moves forward for Little Tokyo's Mangrove site, sustainability has emerged as a key consideration. Zixuan Peng's project examined which sustainability practices are practical, cost-effective and culturally appropriate. lewis.ucla.edu/research/sus...

As community land trusts are becoming increasingly common across SoCal, Kyla Marie Corpuz compared two different CLT models, examining how they expand affordable housing while responding to local community needs. Read more: lewis.ucla.edu/research/enh...

Irvine Community Land Trust has the largest share of total CLT housing units (475), though 407 of these are rental units while only 68 are ownership units. Beverly Vermont has a smaller share of total CLT housing units (60), though only 9 of these are rental units while 51 are owner-occupied units.
