Come to Mullins for the pickle pizza, stay for the hoops
Some think that they should reboot James Bond as the man from Fleming's novels set in the 1950's. Boring. They should go for the version from the John Gardner novels in the early 80's that drives a tricked out Saab 900 Turbo called the Silver Beast. jamesbond.fandom.com/wiki/Saab_90...
Our guy Danny Carbuccia is playing in the Central America and Caribbean gold medal game tonight! How to watch? I have no idea, but that's cool. Go get 'em Danny
Frank Martin is not happy with yesterday's #NCAA court ruling, and I agree with him. But does he take advantage and try to re-recruit Marcus Banks, Leonaro Bettiol, and Daniel Hankins-Sanford?
Saw #TheOdyssey last night and decided to check to see if the film was legit, so I went to the source material, Wishbone: - Imprisoned by Calypso✅ - Buncha jerks drooling over Penelope✅ - Dog shoots an arrow through axes, close enough✅ Verdict: Wishbone did it better, but Nolan's is just fine
Do you think that the collective got pushed out by Bamford, just like he did with the football collective? This is a screenshot of part of a tweet they put out at the end of the season. The last two paragraphs say a lot.
Some enjoyable backroad rides around Western MA this past weekend #motosky #NX500 #motorcycle #newengland

Looks like UMass men's basketball Sports Performance Coach Tony Regueira is no longer with the program:
yo @umasshoops.bsky.social, it looks like Coach Cal has been visiting your site!
One of the greatest moments in college sports, when a walk-on is given a scholarship. Congrats to Rollie! x.com/i/status/205...
Frank Martin is doing the eyes thing over on the other site. We should get news of a new player or two very soon
ok @nathanpstrauss.bsky.social, what exactly are you trying to do here? Is Jordan Clayton coming to UMass? He's from Medford, formerly the No. 3 player in Mass...
@247hshoops.bsky.social reports that K'Jei Parker is headed to Ball St. The men's basketball situation in Amherst is grim when Ball St is poaching your best players.
@deanwendel.bsky.social posted some non-conference games that UMass has added to the schedule for next season:
Ugh, so it begins for UMass basketball. K'jei Parker, an elite 3pt and FT shooter this past season is transferring per Tobias Bass of The Athletic.
Lewis Walker redshirted his freshman season at UMass and is back in the transfer portal, presumably looking to transfer up after having a big year for NC A&T. I doubt he wants to come back to play or Frank, but I'd love to see what "Big Jelly" can do considering we never saw him get on the court.
No stream for the UMass MBB press conference with Ryan Bamford and Frank Martin per the @themassco.bsky.social on the other site. This athletic department, run by Bamford, just simply does not care about its everyday fans at all, as he so incompetently proves time and time again.
UMass joins the MAC, beats the best story in college hoops in their conference tournament, and the MAC benefits by getting their first at-large since 1999 AND bringing in heaps of additional revenue to every team in the conference for years to come.
Mike Maynard of the Daily Hampshire Gazette reports that Daniel Hankins-Sanford and Dmitri Clerc are out of their boots, practiced, and are expected to be available for the MAC tournament.
Goodman reported that 4 MAC coaches have been fired. All teams that missed the MAC tournament. UMass just barely made the cut thanks to tiebreakers. How do we get Frank Martin added to this list?
I share this sentiment posted on the other site. I don't blame the players at all. @zig2k.bsky.social
Tonight's loss to Ball St is officially the worst loss in the @kenpom.com era, beating out the other worst loss in history earlier this year against Northern Illinois. Frank Martin's rock bottom keeps getting rockier and bottomier.
In case you weren't aware that UMass MBB has been horrible shooting free throws since Frank Martin arrived, here's the pudding, which provides the proof. Consistently a bottom of the barrel FT team in comparison with conference opponents. They're free and unguarded! Make your FTs!!
Jon Rothstein: "Amherst, Massachusetts is BACK in the college basketball spotlight! Miami (OH) puts its 25-0 record on the line tonight against UMass. Biggest game that the Minutemen have played at home this season. This is ONLY February."
RIP to Robert Duvall, an actor with an endless list of legendary credits, but to me he'll always be Joseph Pulitzer in Newsies. I can't not do the calculator move with my hands and clicking noises any time I'm doing mental math.
Rocking up to the Olympic games in Cortina d'Ampezzo in my Lotus Esprit to watch Eric Kriegler in the biathlon.
Miami OH is undefeated and up to #24 in the AP poll for our road matchup tomorrow night. Excited to see how UMass approaches these guys
