My old Teisco had stopped working and would only buzz obnoxiously. Opened it up and re-soldered the ground wire, and happily that's all it took to get it buzzing the way I want it to. So here's some arthritic Gen x punk that I found rattling around inside it.

It's honestly very cool too, though. Overhead conveyer belts running through the store to process orders, a little "museum" section displaying antique cameras, and really helpful friendly staff. I just didn't go in with a list so I got whatever at the film counter. Got the exact lens cap I need too.

Wildfire smoke got the center of the solar system showing up like something's wrong with the camera lens. Source of all life on the planet looking like a plastic pumpkin light.

Nearly 90 here today and beautiful weather. I'm inside recovering from a tooth extraction today, so here are some photos from January. After a snowstorm I took a walk with this Duaflex iv to see if it was working. I'd been given a small lot of old cameras which I guess makes me the camera guy now?

Saw a giant bird today. And then it was gone!

Side of my neighbor's house, a cement block basement wall painted white. Some kind of circular exhaust port for laundry or something bulges out like an eye, and casts a downward pointed shadow like a long beak. Other shadows conspire to form a bird head and an "s" curve like a heron's neck.

The same wall is shown, but cloud cover has eliminated the shadow bird.
