6th anniversary of my Mum's death today. She was 62, taken by Progressive MS. Miss you every day. This is my favourite photo of her, with me on the day I graduated from uni.

Today's post, and yes, I very much have a type, it is @thirdwindowfilms.com apparently Havent seen Shark Skin Man, have wanted for years. Door has been recommended by a lot by people I trust. And guard from the underground, I am a big Kurosawa fan. The others, I have already seen and love.

1st gig back after years away. Gabe Nandez (pictured) + Armand Hammer (billy woods & elucid), couldnt get a picture of them as they play their set in near pitch dark as an aesthetic choice. And long story short, I'll be doing more gigs going forward. The itch is back well and truly back.

An hour before a job interview on teams by pc decided it was going to crash the hard way, over and over. Windows gotta windows. Hope it went well because my computer is currently incommunicado and in a diagnosis cycle. Its going to be a late one cause of this... Fun.

I got mubi for £1 for a few months. And what should see but both runs of Twin Peaks, I've not watched it the whole way through so yes, I will happily take this bait. Starting with the pilot. When do I watch Fire Walk with Me?

Enjoyed this one plenty, but it made me want to finally get around to watching clearcut. Did it have a UK blu-ray? I thought it did, but I can find no sign of it ever existing.

#nw Prince of Darkness (1987) for a podcast recording later. I know full well how unpopular an opinion this is, but it is one of my favourite Carpenter movies. Mainly as it falls in a favourite horror genre, "sciencing spooky shit", you could call it sci-fi horror but it doesn't capture the vibe.

Set the ball rolling for the next 2 episodes of Uncut following the series 5 frightfest opener. The plan is for F.W. Murnau and "Gakuryu" Sogo Ishii. A wild potential twofer for a podcast defined two cool left turns.

The capsule hotel I stayed at for my first frightfest. Including a climb to the top which was about a good foot taller than the 6ft 2 me. Damn, it's been a challenge. So if you too fancy a challenge, go for it. Otherwise, maybe err on the safe side.

I'm going for X-ray on my hand on Tuesday. Of all the times to mess myself up, now is probably the worst. Left hand has been swollen for the last two weeks and now I can only bend it one way. Hopefully I don't rock up to frightfest with a pot on my hand. hell of a way to introduce myself, I guess?

The short film has a poster. And with this final render, its done done. Been editing since May 29th, too long.

One of the things I have been teasing and am most proud of is @realrobynadams.bsky.social. She came on and absolutely knocked it out of the park creating some original music for the project, it absolutely elevates LAST SOCK to the next level. So happy with how it's turned out #horror Thank you.

In other news. The short film I have been working on is finally finished. 6 weeks of editing (not constant, evenings and weekends) should tell you how much work needed to be done. Super Proud of it and everyone involved.
