I believe it was after DK Jr had come out, but was still in reference (in the West) to the original Donkey Kong game. First company to actively use it I think was Coleco in a series of tie in merch, including colouring in books (which also portrayed Pauline as a singer), and some statues.

I do, but none of the reels are the ones I had as a kid. Picked this lot up in a Charity shop a few years back. Two US made Bakelite View-Masters and a box of reels that are mainly tourist destinations and buildings, with a few kids story ones in there too.
Nice to see FIFA found a use for all those left over UniSol parts…
Having a cleanup and a tidy and was I’d forgotten I had this. I’ve got a lot of oddities, curios and weird things in my record collection… but this charity shop find of Scientology record is right up there. -Ash

Watching an episode of Kojak and was surprised a) to see Leslie Nielsen in it and b) for him to be an absolute shagger. Oh and a cold hearted killer. But the main takeaway is: Shagger.
Related, and I know getting tracks to fit two sides was an art in itself, but the layout of the Blues Brothers Soundtrack cassette bar the first two tracks on side A and the last two tracks on Side B is like fucking Memento.
To avoid distractions, music today will be provided by a recently cleaned and well loved Aiwa tape deck. This selection should keep me going for a while. -Ash
