She/her 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ ally. Trekkie & occasional watcher of other random sci-fi and fantasy. British not American: Red=Left. Please wear a mask, we’re still in a pandemic. Still won’t discuss Tuvix.
Don’t forget these intrepid astronauts. They met Americans on the moon. You knew they were Americans because they said “Hi.”
Watching “Man of the People.” There’s a ship in this episode called the Dorian. This is obviously because the episode is based on Wilde’s “A Picture of Dorian Grey.” Except, when my brother & I first watched this, we didn’t know that story. We did, however know this Dorian: #StarTeekTNG
And suddenly I’m happier than ever about that red line I drew in my bio…
Then when I looked at my second photo it had come out like this and I DON’T KNOW WHY
This seems a good time to share the sight I was faced with when I turned a corner last winter in the dark. The heart attack I almost had… (The photo used a flash but it was pitch dark when I saw this.)
I feel like a lot of the responses depend on which of these was your first beloved version of the legend…
Don’t forget the vital follow-up role played by Maid Marian and her Merry Men, the show which taught that important lesson to a generation of people now in their 40s.
I KNOW it’s a waste of time engaging with these people but I still have this principal of calling out racism etc (for the sake of anyone else who is reading). I’m not responding again because I think this guy has successfully shown himself up with no help from me but… this is so funny.
Oh my God, now I’m a Furry? Where did that come from? Nothing against Furries by I’m clearly a statue. We’re kind of famous for not having fur.
Oh wow, I even triggered a “look at her bio, she’s crazy” comment for the second time ever! (The first time I was talking about Discovery.) Seriously, I looked at the damn site for 2 mins and made one comment 🤦♀️
Look what’s in the window of my local LEGO store! (Listening to the couple next to me while I took this photo: “Darling, how much do we have in the roof fund again?”)
I have read the comments and can confirm: though many of them seem to have sisters, none of them have actually read Goblin Market. #ChristinaRosetti #WeirdTeaTowels
The first time I watched the #StarTrekProdigy episode Kobyashi Maru I panicked that I’d missed the announcement of Gates McFadden’s death.
I will now share the most heartbreaking fact in the history of Star Trek: Picard misquotes Moby Dick.
There a Facebook account that just popped up on my feed which must be not only a bot but a pretty rubbish bot. They’re claiming Patrick Stewart didn’t like the lionfish in Picard’s ready room because it was “difficult to work with” (Actual reason afaik: he thought it was cruel to the fish.)
Drop your favourite ship that never gets talked about. (They get talked about, just not as a ship.)
No cheating. Your last saved celebrity photo is your therapist. Who is it? (This is disturbing in many ways.)
I first saw him on a video of a musical celebration of the West End producer Cameron Mackintosh’s shows, and I dragged my family to the National Theatre production of Oklahoma in London based on one clip of him singing “Oh what a beautiful morning.” No bodybuilding required.
I wanted an invisibility cloak like Sheila but all I got was the annoying little brother 😂
We had a very popular show here when I was a teenager called Only Fools & Horses. Their Christmas special showed the two leads visiting America and they managed to run away from the alligators with no problems. I wouldn’t like to base an entire safety plan on these two though.
