Pushed the PC as far I could last night to get some nice benchmark numbers, then dialled it back for stability's sake. OCCT stability test cooking as we speak, and finally, *finally*, resumed the Horizon 6 download 😂 I'll take top 4% and be happy!

That would explain RAM channel A being fussy and difficult to diagnose. The bent pin is a MAB_DATA pin. So, channel A 🤦♂️ Proper bent-bent, that. If I screw up straightening it out, then that motherboard is almost useless as it takes down slots A1 and A2. So no DDR. No pressure, then 😬
Had to reset the fTPM on first boot (not a mistake from me, it happens with every new CPU I believe. Certainly had to on my 7900X, anyway), but once that was done... 🥳
OK... I think the build is done. At least for v1.0 anyway. Next up will be plugging stuff into it, booting it up, and seeing what catches fire. Not doing that now though because holy shit am I tired Shiny though, isn't it? 🥳
Small csse drawbacks - especially when cramming a massive AIO in where it really shouldn't be - include godawful cable management, and some absurdly tight clearances that I definitely calculated beforehand and totally didn't just get lucky with
PSU in. Two banks of fans loosely fitted as I still don't quite know where they're going, powered and ARGB'd. Case USBs and power button/light wired. Extra CPU power cables wired. More sitting down and possibly lunch now on the cards because really very... 🥱
More progress! Purple screws and mobo 12v cable looks as awesome as I thought they would 😎🥳 12v cable put up a fight though. Literally broke a sweat getting it to lock in. Hope I didn't break anything 😬 Time for a sit down and some Monster to kick me awake again 🤘😂
