Finally, let me share some fun data about job applications I've sent this year on Seek (which shares how many other applicants are also applying). It's no surprise that most roles have >150 apps (some being >1000 apps). But there's way too much silence from the roles with <50 applicants. 5/5 🧵
After sending 637 job applications between Nov 3, 2024 to Dec 22, 2025 - I've restarted the counter for 2026. 126 job applications sent since New Years Day, 110 of them have either been ghosted or not read at all, 12 have given me email-template rejection replies. 2/5 🧵

they have mentioned spending cuts in their 2023 manifesto but I can't recall an explicit culture war against cycle lanes - albeit nowhere near to how Simeon bashes it
