I thought about visiting the Preserve again today, but there’s a high of 95 and T-storm chances. So we’re at Larson Park in Brooking SD.
Beating the heat by having a lazy day inside (for Pixel it’s always a lazy day inside.)
Went hiking in Camden State Park again this afternoon. Found a new trail spur that goes to an old WPA group camp. Beautiful hike all around.
As always, I forgot to take pictures during my Vegas trip. But I did take a picture of my food at Jean Georges Steakhouse. This Chilean Sea Bass was divine.

Just finished the all-district orchestra concert. It’s exhausting and a ton of work, but this image alone makes it worth the effort.
Only got one round in this long weekend. Tons more to come once school ends after this week.
It was a good day. Slow fishing but quality fish. I missed a bunch and probably had my line sliced by a northern twice.
Pixel loves going outside. She practically begs to get into the backpack to go outside when it’s nice.
Took my kayak out for its maiden voyage (first trip for me at least). Had a couple bites and paddled all over the lake. It was a blast. I think I made a good decision!
Pixel is living her best life. That blanket is super soft, and she’s just to my right on the couch.
Turned off the light because I thought it might be annoying Pixel, but she seems to think differently.
I have a standing gig every fall that pays well. I like to set aside that money for a new investment into my music supplies. Finally got an upgrade for my acoustic guitar. I play bass mostly, but I’ve got one song this time on guitar, and this one sounds and feels great.
