So in little known history news (for me anyhoo) there was a reverse lend-lease back in WW2, where England gave the US a few 'Flower class' corvettes. They were renamed the 'Temptress class' over here. Alas, only one ship name seemed to get the temptress vibe rite en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America...

A crew gave these palms a haircut a few days back, so they look pretty sprightly. Somewhere along Hollywood Blvd.

Kinda' thought the thing in the cage was somethin' to do with gas - like for stovetops an such. But turns out when I saw it leakin' it's water! An was makin' a cute rainbow in front of this sweet palm. (Hollywood Blvd. Barnsdall Park)

Caught the 928 curve thru the bars, and thought, 'no way!' (also 'gold? really?') Then I saw they had parked it in front of the dirty gold Cressida. Which felt kinda' like the right thing.

Not in the "pickin' up things off L.A. sidewalks today" mood. So got about four rapid paces past this before I stopped. Thinkin', "Wait a sec! what the heck was that?" (I have a collection of unique paperclips...not seen this version before)

It's white - made of one wire bent in the shape of a square, getting progressively smaller on the inside. (tho only 2 - square within a square) It ends with a small triangle in the middle like a little maze.

Caught this one in the local parking lot a few daze back. Think it's a Rolls coupe - might be wrong 'bout that guess tho. Still, a pretty thing to see in the wild.

Heard some beats driftin' into my window, an wandered out to see what was up. Got thru a little labyrinth, ended up standin' next to the guy on the right. They were just kinda' getting started. We talked for a sec. He said, "oh he's good," pointing at the guy with the bongo.

Local act. Dude standing with a strat, dude with a bongo between his legs, dude who played sax (I hate the sax, but he was goooood!) and dude at the end, he was up to some technical shit in the background...he put on a strat, but it was like, a strat that wasn't a bass that was a bass. Anywize, the bongo guy fuckin' ripped.

Due to certain wikipedia tendencies, I've visited the Gibraltar article more than a few times. Think this pic is a new add, 'cause I'm pretty sure I'd remember seeing this one before. Kinda' epic. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibraltar

Night - DC-3 on runway with shadows of crew/passengers below. The rock of Gibraltar is behind, and beams of searchlights cross along the way up. Above, searchlights pointing at the sky make illuminations along the edges of clouds. There is a slight curve of light in the sky just off left of center that looks like a sliver of a moon. (I think it's a light reflection or lense-flare kinda thingy tho)
