Max stares up at Polaris, terrified as eyes float around him and stare him down.

POLARIS: You can't run from this, kid. This is all happening because of what YOU did. It's time to accept your fate and fulfill the role you were always meant to fulfill.

An ancient door sits within a darkened wall made of brick, the wall and floors crumbling. There's an eye on the top of the door as well as a star.

POLARIS: You saw a door – a door that's been waiting a VERY long time for someone to open it.
POLARIS: You never question its purpose. Or why it opened for YOU.

Max reaches for the doorknob to this ancient door, but as he does, his eye glows red and his hand shakes. He's crying, as if he had no control over opening this door in question.

POLARIS: But it did! It opened for you. Almost like you've always had the key.
POLARIS: Why, oh why, would it open for someone like you?
