Crazy bed head + I haven’t had time to do anything about it crazy beard + awesome natural light + snap chat filter = that time I stared as a dwarven extra in the hobbit.
Whoo-boy. It’s been a tough couple of weeks. Sadie continued to have some unexpected challenges. But today she’s feeling well enough to want to play.
This hits different during pride month. Happy pride to everyone you are valid.
We are still fighting the vestibular disease. She seems to really rally in the evenings. Mornings are rough (can’t blame her) but we got amazing news this afternoon. Sadie is cancer free, the mass was benign. Chad and I were so relieved to hear this. The odds were horrible.
Sadie wants to say thanks to everyone for the encouraging words and thoughts. We managed to stand up multiple times on our own without assistance or falling over in the last hour. Much much better than 8 hours ago.
Today, Sadie gave us another scare. Just after lunch, after a perfectly normal morning, she seemed disoriented, and dizzy, she was spinning In place, and her eyes were darting back and forth. She had a hard time balancing and not wobbling.
Had to try out a surgical onesie to try and give her some relief from the cone of doom.
We went to check on our girl this afternoon. She was up and walking and much more alert, but she’s coming down from some good drugs Possibly coming home today.
Again, we are not out of the woods. The odds are not in our favor. Now we hope the universe will send us a little grace and her biopsy comes back ok. Thanks to everyone who reached out and lent support over the last few days. The waiting is always the worst part. 7-10 days before we have results.
I’m not a mango person, had never touched fermented mango in my life, and the only option was a two-pack. Then I actually tried it. Now I want to put it on everything I own. At this rate the second jar is not going to last long enough to be a problem.
Sure glad I didn’t have to actually pay what the hospital charged for a CT and an MRI. Especially when I’ll be doing these for the rest of my life™️ At a total of about 90 minutes including prep, bloodwork… I was “charged” $6.43 per SECOND I was in that imaging department
I used to follow a PC gaming site called Voodoo Extreme in the late 90s. The webmaster’s catchphrase “I’ll bring the spatulas and Vaseline” morphed in my head into “spatulas and lube,” which I’d jokingly say about parties. I asked ChatGPT for an image of that. The result did not disappoint.
