My go-to rock for the occasion is this obsidian that fits perfectly in the palm of my hand. No sharp edges! Great for clasping! Collected in the National Forest near Mono Lake, in a huge scree of them.
My grandfather was a car guy. A schoolteacher, but of the generation that came of age with automotive technology. He taught me how to drive in his Jeep. This is a list he made of all the cars he had in his life. Computer people probably remember all of their bits of tech.
