@usmailnotforsale
The US Mail Not for Sale is a worker led campaign to fight attempts to sell the public Postal Service to the highest bidder.
So many people in so many communities took action on Tuesday. Here are a few more pictures from Boston, Amarillo, Denver, Minneapolis... and there were so many more places shouting "Protect Our Public Post Office".
These are just a few photos from today's rallies and events to protect our public Postal Service! We demand: 📨 Protect and expand vote-by-mail 📨 End the Congressionally-created USPS funding crisis 📨 Keep the corporate raiders off the Board of Governors! Take action: usmailnotforsale.org/protect/

On July 26, 1775, the Second Continental Congress appointed Ben Franklin the first Postmaster General. 251 years later, we are standing up for the public good like the founding fathers before us. #USPS usmailnotforsale.org/act

Instead of watching the FIFA World Cup ads during the pausa de hidratación, take a moment to oppose a corporate takeover of our public Postal Service. Click to act: actionnetwork.org/letters/stop... Unless you're a postal worker. Postal workers need a pausa de hidratación.
The attack on our Post Office isn't stopping and nor will we. Are you ready for action to protect our public Postal Service? #ProtectOurPostOffice
“It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority.” ― 1st Postmaster General, Benjamin Franklin Happy Independence Day, everyone #4thJuly #IndependenceDay
Despite the judge's ruling overturning the vote-by-mail Executive Order, the consultation on the USPS rules implementing the Order is still open. Don't leave this to chance. Send your comment here: actionnetwork.org/letters/subm... #VoteByMail #USPS
Rand Paul is coming for your mail! Four day delivery or pay $50 to get six days? No way!! #usps #savethepostoffice
Sen. Hassan pushing for a clear answer on commitments to improving delivery times. Steiner agrees that it's important but is.... unclear at best on those... #USPS #SaveThePostOffice
Sen. Paul wants to scrap the universal service obligation ("the mandates") and cut your delivery to four days. YOU CAN'T CUT YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS! #USPS #SaveThePostOffice
Sen. Peters points out that the USPS is required to deliver to the whole country, unlike any of its competitors. "It's clear that Congress must take action to make sure that people continue to receive their mail."
Kicking off the hearing, Sen. Paul is calling to cut postal workers' wages and freeze hiring at a time when mail delays are way worse than they should be. He wants to "consolidate facilities" (that often means closing your local Post Office) #USPS
Their goal is to sell off our public Postal Service to make billionaires and private corporations richer at the expense of our community. But we are playing to win! #USPS #WorldCup #USMailNotForSale
You can't cut your way to success. More attacks on postal workers will only slow down the Postal Service. #USPS #USMailNotForSale. Take Action here: actionnetwork.org/letters/stop...
The message from USPS Board nominee William Gallo to customers waiting for delivery, in the line at the post office & to the understaffed postal workers who move heaven and earth to keep the mail moving, was that he wants to make more cuts! You can't cut your way to better service! #USMailNotForSale
Jeffrey Brodsky - nominee for the USPS Board of Governors refusing to answer whether our public Postal Service should be sold for private corporate profit - "I don't really have a view on whether or not privatizing it would make any sense or not" #USMailNotForSale
Slotkin - do you believe that vote-by-mail is safe and secure: Gallo: "It is safe and secure"
Slotkin: Do you believe the USPS has a role in adjudicating who gets to vote and who doesn't. Brodsky: We will follow the law. As far as i know, that's not yet the law. Gallo: as far as I'm concerned, you have to have the courts and congress to make a decision.
Rand Paul is now pushing for more outsourcing (part privatizing) of Postal Service functions. Gallo on costs: increase revenues and reduce costs - that all has to be looked at. "Obviously the workforce of over 600,000 people is too high" #USPS
Sen. Hawley is speaking about the vital role of the Postal Service in states like MO. He's talking about the rural transport optimization plan and the way it has damaged rural deliver. #USPS
Brodsky - we have to get together and talk about what the universal service obligation is! #USPS
Tomorrow, a Senate committee considers 4 nominees for the USPS Board of Governors. It's a BFD! The Board appoints the Postmaster General and it decides policy for the Post Office. Bad decisions could screw up your mail. But Senators are likely getting less than a minute to question each nominee.
More services to sustain communities, more revenue for the Postal Service. It's not 🚀 science! #USPS #USMailNotForSale
On Memorial Day, we especially thank all of those veterans who continued their service in civilian life as postal workers. The USPS is the largest civilian employer of veterans.
Former White House Economics Advisor, Stephen Moore, takes to the Newsmax website to promote privatizing the USPS. What do we say? Not today, corporate mouthpiece, not ever! #USMailNotForSale
