Remember that episode of TNG when Riker is kidnapped by Romulans and stuck in a holodeck sim where 20 years have passed? One of the giveaways was the computers performing like shit. "Computer! End program!"
Away for a computer-free weekend, I picked up this banger at the used book store.
We applied for Apple's Small Business Program on April 27 — three months ago as of Monday. Radio silence. We're eating an extra 15% from our meagre revenues thanks to that. But if Apple could use some of our unearned revenues to fix sub pricing on ASC, that'd be great. 😡
To be clear, I would never ship such a basic-bitch app as Invoicy (I'd also take longer to name it). This is useful to nobody but me. But even I, a developer, would never have built this app just for this. Here's some shots (showing data from 2014 so nobody should be offended).
We had a bit of an incident at Starbucks today. My MacBook Pro drank a bunch of tea and now it doesn't turn on.
Yes, *Orbital* by Samantha Harvey was beautifully written. But it had virtually no story, no plot, the barest teasing of interpersonal relationships. A Booker prize winner that left me bored and unmoved. Sad!
Sweet, thanks for signing me out of my three Apple dev accounts again. I was super-bored and needed to add another futile session of logins to my life.
One of my favourite features of Indigo is the whimsy that @benricem.bsky.social added to the placeholders in the composer. I'd love to find more places to shine like that in the app!
So turns out if you install this little bad-boy, VirtualBuddy behaves better!
Fantastic wrap up on this article in the latest Wired about AI fact checking (spoiler, no worries). Name dropping the great @adapalmer.bsky.social? Spectacular.
Indigo is on the front page of the Mac App Store today! 🤯 cc @soapboxsoftware.bsky.social
Ha ha ha ahahahhahhaaa hhaaaaa!! **Takes deep breath** haaaaaaaaahahahahahahaha! (Indigo 1.0.3 for Mac has been "Waiting for Review" for a full week now)
I really love the `fastfetch` command on Linux systems so I had the idea to build a Mac version today. Turns out (of course!) someone has already done it. brew install fastfetch and… 😍
Rare Model X spot in Whitby with the gull wing doors. Of course the douche is parked in the handicap spot.
Really appreciate the warm reception to Indigo today. With the support of these monsters, I hope we can get even more people using it!
When I tell 95% of my future customers that the app is called Indigo: "Sure, okay, whatever." When I tell a Canadian: "WTF are you doing moron?! You're toast!"
30 hours ago, I asked for an expedited review of Indigo for macOS. 29 hours ago it went into review. It remains in review. We have scuttled our Thursday launch plan, and are hoping for next Tuesday. Thanks Tim Apple!
I put so many hours into this game, and I've never been able to successfully emulate it since.
