My son and I go to a music festival every year, and we always do an interactive activity at our campsite for passersby. This year we did a mini "art and affirmations" gallery and left out a bucket of markers and paper so people could make and trade art. These are some of the drawings we got!

If you've never read MN Conservation Volunteer you're missing out, they have some really lovely stories and photography. In related news, I'm now in love with tardigrades and will be making it my personality for the next week or two at least www.dnr.state.mn.us/mcvmagazine/...

For example, when tardigrade tuns aboard the International Space Station were exposed directly to the vacuum of space, they basically shrugged it off, springing back to life once rehydrated.

I’m reaching out because prom season is here, and we’re looking for more dresses. This year, we’re partnering with several MN school districts (including Morris, Dassel-Cokato and La Crosse) to send dresses directly to their schools so students can browse and rent for prom.

Some schools have already requested more dresses than we currently have available, so we’re hoping to gather additional donations in the next week or so.

If you have more dresses you’d be willing to donate, or know someone who might donate in the next week or so, it would make a huge difference as we work to meet demand from these school districts. Here's the dress donation form, but you can always just drop dresses off at Jenny in the City any day between 11-5.

This reminds me, I was reading through business licensing requirements in a metro area city code recently and found out that "adult car washes" are*/were apparently a thing? (*Present tense bc I don't see the ordinance repealed, not bc I know of one existing)

Adult carwash: a wash facility for any type of motor vehicle that allows employees, agents, independent contractors, or persons to appear in a state of partial or total nudity in terms of specified anatomical areas.

Interesting! My guy has upright ears but the markings and snoot had me wondering if they have a bit of similarity! Jimmy has a shorter nose that looks more beagle from the side, but he's more rat terrier in other ways and his personality is more terrier-like. Rescues are just wonderful mysteries!
