On that chess news, the man from 4NCL literally has the answer but is too blind to see it - change the rule to require at least one female player, rather than strictly mixed teams. Team has more than one woman on it, no problem. Equity over equality.

Break from the doomscrolling - #AccidentalRothko from the train this morning, waiting for our turn to get past the ailing freight train

Late to the Rock Check party. I have many rocks, but today's example is Bear. Bear was a gift from my aunt in Canada, he's carved from Chinese Writing stone (porphyritic basalt), is very tactile, and sits on the desk in my office.
