I'm reading Artemis Smith's ODD GIRL and you know I love Skippy, the Italian-American butch who is a huge sap for the girls. It starts out rather dreadful, but is much better written after a couple of chapters. I'm enjoying it (can't say the same for Vin Packer's SPRING FIRE, which was just okay).

I will probably mention Fran Bow every time there is a @morbidimagining.bsky.social event, but it IS an exceptionally good game for skeletons and other macabre imagery. #13MorbidMondays

Forgot to post a garden update! I took these on Friday. The apple is from the larger of the two apple trees, of which I think I post fewer photos. And we officially have a RED currant.

An aside: I found these alternate language versions striking in how differently they depicted Dan Duryea's character. I find the second much truer to the film in that regard. The ways in which they all distort and sensationalize details in contrast with the actual film is also fascinating.
