Phish from the Sunset Lounge (my den). ⭕️ Cookies ready (half oatmeal raisin/half chocolate chip walnut).
Overall Grade: 6.5/10 I had to deduct points for the white chocolate chips. The cookie is sweet enough without them, and the addition turned an otherwise refreshing cookie into a stealthy sugar bomb. Still, I really liked this cookie and would try it again.
After a 10 minute warm-up in the oven, I was slightly disappointed at the underbake, but it was better than others I’ve had in the past that were just a little too underbaked for my personal taste. But the bright red of the raspberry chips and the green of the pistachios reminded me of Christmas.

Made it to Cleveland last night. I realized I still hate the PA turnpike more than any other road in the country. My arms feel like jelly today. However, I found grits in the hotel breakfast selection, so maybe today might not be so bad.
Pray for my babies ❤️ Got a late start so not nearly as far as I’d like to be, but I still have hours and hours and hours to go.
They’re really annoying and can be a pain to eradicate, but they’re generally harmless. I had them really bad last fall, but I switched the soil, added chunky stuff, and then added a layer of Bonsai Jack’s Gritty Mix to the top of the soil. That took care of them.
I have moved to the I-Have-To-Group-The-Boxes-By-Rooms-Now-Because-The-Inventory-Is-Off stage of the packing saga.
