Read this this morning and agree it is excellent. @hcrichardson.bsky.social I have a recipe card with notes from The True Believer pinned to my bulletin board from when I helped organize the 2011 SOS March & Call to Action. At the bottom it says, "Don't be won over, prepare to feel cheated." I was.
“We’re in unprecedented times,” the letter continues.... #Idaho Dems considering putting #CountryOverParty “We simply want the best path forward for everyone fighting to save this country.” www.lmtribune.com/northwest/id... Thank you @idahodems.bsky.social for speaking up. Ball in another court now.
We have some good Dem candidates in Canyon County but they aren't being looked at. Todd Achilles as an independent senator could work to make congress work more for all the People.... if he and a couple other Fulcrum Caucus members get elected.
I joined that organization a while back. Don't like seeing them advertise Critchfield & what she's doing. I'm part of a legislative watch group during sessions & can tell you that she did not stand up for what is right for the public system's infrastructure at all. Remained silent too many times.🙄
"The general election is set for Nov. 3. In addition to the governor’s race & the ballot initiative to end #Idaho abortion ban, all 105 seats in the Idaho Legislature will be up for election in November’s general election, as well as 3 of Idaho’s 4 congressional seats." Will they ignore your vote?
Oh, I'm most definitely going to continue that fight! This is something I wrote a while back. The longer this effort fails, the more uncertain I am as to when exactly I "leave." 😉
Saving the public education system has been my animating issue but I have now turned to what I previously only joked about — leaving behind the institutional structure for the next generations to strengthen and improve. #EPluribusUnum #MorePerfectUnion
Taxpayers asked for #ACCOUNTABILITY? Isn't that why we have been standardizing, testing, posted results and pointing fingers at REAL #PublicSchools for over 3 decades? Yes? No, #Idaho lawmakers #IdLeg #IDedu have given "flexibility" with our $ thru multiple laws. www.propublica.org/article/priv...
"Under our Constitution, the states, not the federal government, are given the primary authority to run elections. The president is given no role at all. ... The question for 2026 isn't whether Trump will try again. He will." @marcelias.bsky.social REMINDER: Stopping the vote count is a coup.
Why no public discussion/conversation/debate about #privatization of #IdEdu in #Idaho? Is it because we don't have enough facts? Rep #IdLeg @steveberch15a.bsky.social outlined good starting points. NPE 2026 Report Card provided proof. “Privatization and disinvestment ... go hand in hand.”
I listened & overall take is people expressed "needs" but lacked solid suggestions for process: understand, assess, reform. Charters were heard from but the power-players didn't need to be there. They have the ears of lawmakers. As with other crucial issues in #IdEdu, meetings occurred ahead of.
Hey #Idaho people wanting quality public education in the state to survive the onslaught by #ChristianNationalist Plan to listen closely to what is said tonight June 25, 2026. 6:00–8:00 PM (Mountain Time) for a preview of coming #IdLeg attractions: School Funding idahosde.zoom.us/j/96901934245
Yes, I knew that but hope others will see how it applies. Idaho is one Supreme Court decision away from funding religious charters, IMHO. In the decades I've been watching our lawmakers "work," I'm convinced they are in the race to become the first Christian nation-state in the country. ...
We need better public communicate in association with the accountability labels of "failing" schools. The term "poverty" in America has lost meaning. The public ignores the correlation of standardized test scores to socioeconomic status allowing them to ignore the effects of funding. #Heartless
#Idaho Center for Fiscal Policy published “How federal and state tax cuts shift costs onto Idaho families and communities.” "those earning less than $29,200 annually – saw their taxes increase by an average of $96/ year." Not much?!? ADD inflation to those FACTS... and why? PUBLIC services???
Well, if more listened to what is said In The People's House, voters might think twice about their votes. Example this session, hearing my own senator & Senator Den Hartog speak as experts about the challenges women face ... they face none. This was about the Killing of the Idaho Women's Commission
I think people got the details wrong. I volunteer for the League of Women Voters Legislative Action Committee. We watch the session and listen to as many committees as we can. The process and the games played are frustrating to watch but somebody's gotta do it... I guess ... or should.
@kayleeforcongress.bsky.social & Zabel running against Fulcher is NOT the same as Roth & @achillesid.bsky.social running against Risch. Gramer's generalizing doesn't serve the nation well. Roth should bow out BUT NOT Kaylee #Idaho Zabel's campaign is heavy on rhetoric and slim on doable solutions.
Love the visuals & the fact that there appears to be a consolidating of efforts 👍 We need an organized effort for unity while remaining a grassroots movement. IMHO based on history. Suggestion: #EPluribusUnum celebrate 250th for our efforts to remain true to the real motto of America From Many, One✊
This Sundae Gurl quote really made me laugh in spite of this ridiculous self-induced problem created by a far-right extremist #Idaho #IdLeg ideology toxic to both humans & the state. We truly fiscally conservative people are paying for repeatedly stupid moves by those elected as #REPUBLICANS RINO
I blame a disengaged & self-serving public that has too long ignored what was happening in plain site, although at times behind curtains & closed doors. They wouldn't listen & consider where the policy path was leading. But yes, you're right, responsible institutional leadership has been lacking.
Thank you for speaking out! I've been extremely frustrated by my state officials listening to the wrong people FOR YEARS! Negating the BS will be difficult for you & others like you. It's impossible for someone like me. I hope you stick with it. TY #Idaho needs to listen & hear what they haven't.
I'm in Idaho & for the sake of your state & our country, please heed the warnings of @carolburris.bsky.social Kevin G. Werner & @drprestongreen.bsky.social . I know it's difficult to change laws but informing voters/taxpayers is the first step. Spread the word. nepc.colorado.edu/publication/...
Fantastic! Please consider adding to the “We Are America” visuals and campaign the words "From Many, One" & #EPluribusUnum We NEED that reminder especially in places like #Idaho where the "One Nation Under God" theme is off and running. Please? ... I know you know but too many of us do not.❤️🤍💙
True. So, how can I be heard by your organization? Two topics essential to putting this country on the right road — unity of purpose and public education — are both things the founder of this organization valued. No single organization can set things right if they don't listen. Will you?
"No law or ordinance is mightier than understanding."—Plato That's where I began writing with the assumption that people didn't understand what we needed to do to continue making progress towards "strengthening and improving educational quality and educational opportunities". Let's begin again...
This is really what we voters need to hear when it comes to the moral behavior of candidates and currently elected public officials. And I don't mean "moral" in any religious sense at all. In our current political marketplace, claiming to be "religious" is meaningless. 👈 Trump did that. #VOTE2026
Because? Because Idaho was chosen as a place likely to become the first white Christian nation-state in the United States. People were invited to come here by Dark Money-funded extremists. Generational Idahoans have been asleep at the wheel. The Idaho Republican party members let it happen.
