Ten year old had a great birthday! Today is her aunt’s birthday (my older daughter.) We have a lot of back to back birthdays in our family! No “birthday twins,” but just hours apart. Guess they all needed their own day. Stay cool everyone, and have a good weekend.

But you've got the relationship with your stepdaughter! Fantastic. I don't know that he could have named his niece and nephew's birthday, much less know them. My daughter and I got to have dumplings with his sister in law and niece in February.
Nine years before I’d marry again and I still had a little “deer in headlights” look that day. Same reason. Fortunately we just celebrated 20 years. Congratulations!
Yesterday I made the ribs. They were fantastic! My neglected Dutch oven got a workout, and I passed the recipe to daughters. One is gf and this is a perfect meal for her. I didn’t do polenta - it’s corn on the cob season. I will next time, maybe football season. Or Winter? Thank you for sharing!

He made the final heat in 100m, but finished 7th so track is done for the season. What a first season it was! So proud of him. The heat (and metal bleachers on cement) was pretty awful in El P. I’ve ordered a bigger umbrella and a portable misting fan. Did eat at Sparky’s on our way home! Thanks!
Who decided the regional track meet would be perfect in July in El Paso? Nuts. Kiddo made tomorrow’s final in the 100 m, the only NM kid to get there. 200 m to come.

Out of town this weekend for regional track meet. 8 yo will be representing New Mexico vs Colorado, Arizona and West Texas. Hoping he has fun and is pleased with his times. May or may not be posting, but will listen Saturday. Great time tonight for #DirkWilbury #AT40
