Built a custom segmented control in #SwiftUI today because the system one wasn't customizable enough and the glass effect was too much / too playful for our use case. Pretty happy with the outcome. Though it would be cool if this wouldn't be necessary in the first place 😌
yes, feels way too short! they usually support them for about 7 years. if I would’ve known that, I would’ve never bought the Ultra 1. I mean, buying a top tier device you would expect it gets supported the longest. especially if there seems to be no reason when it still runs buttery smooth.

Today I've finished my most recent tinker project 🥳 I never hear the doorbell in my home office. Since I didn't want to mess with the existing doorbell, I put a raspberry pi next to it. It runs a local sound classifier that triggers after a certain sound peak and proxies to homebridge.

Just discovered by accident that you can tap and hold on SOME of the tab bar accessory items in the notes app 🤯 But it's completely unrecognizable which ones can be long pressed. Cool animation though!

I underestimated all edge cases involved in a photo viewer 😄 But I'm really having a blast playing around with some newer SwiftUI APIs for the new photo feature of my days counting app (navigation transition, scroll transition, matching scroll position of the detail view to the parent list)
