Thanks! Not sure they'll be that many of them. Got about a platoon and some extra heavy weapons at the moment. Then I'm off to paint a different regiment for the second platoon, as is traditional for 2nd Ed. Do have a few snaps though.
The standard bearer is mostly this sergeant, with his bolt pistol cut away and a piece of wire for the standard added. The sword comes from the other Cadian sergeant. And the banner is from a modern Cadian plastic kit.
Two excellent games of 40k 2nd Ed against @drezavelt.bsky.social today. Guard vs Guard turned out to be a bit of a bloodbath both times. Though no thanks to anyone armed with a lasgun. Certainly learnt a lot about playing a new army.
Who knew buying the new Zone Mortalis book would get so expensive. Testing out just how dense I want the walls. I think this is about right. I can always add some scatter terrain on top of the fixed walls.
Got most the way through one paint job. Lots of detail on this mini to still pick out. Got a plan for the second mini but waiting for a different paint.
Printed this pair of minis from the upcoming Oasis 6mm sci fi game. Think they'll paint up lovely.
Today's haul. Been waiting on the Whirlwind to be released. The Zone Mortalis book looks fun too.
A little more progress. Still need to do more highlights and all the camo patterning on their uniforms but getting there.
Making some progress on this project. Might be a bit weird that on getting motivated by a thing I'm in? Or maybe is just realising I have to get something done for next months episode? 😆 First batch of Cadian Guardsmen.

I'm extremely impressed with the push fit Land Speeder. Still looks incredible.
My fav bit of the new box set is the book box inside. Very nicely laid out and neat.
Originally drew this, my version of the Land Speeder Tempest, in my 3d modeller back in 2020 and have finally got around to print it. Which was probably for the best because I've learnt a lot about how to print bigger pieces since then.
Really need to do a proper version of this again. A mini from each of my 40k (and Heresy) armies. There are a few that aren't represented, mostly cos they didn't ever get 'done' enough to count for me.
WIP of some reinforcements for my Storm Lords. Some new stuff, some old, trying to get them vaguely 11th ready. Still mostly base coats but thought I'd remind everyone I'm still around 😄
Very sad to hear the passing of John Blanche. A fine fellow who I had the absolute privilege of crossing paths with a few times. The only photo I've got with him is this snap from bugmans, after a long day of fun games at WHW. Alongside many lovely hobby people who I don't see as often as I should.
Finally got around to building my Saturnine Praetor. Somehow talked myself in to modeling him without a helmet. For maximum silliness.
This also makes a ton of sense. Deathwatch will really suit the Chaos Gate style of unit upgrade/customisation and suchlike.
