Recently for Reasons I found myself compelled to knit a tiny seed with a secret message inside. I am so enamored of this thing.

A tiny brown knitted seed (less than an inch long) in the palm of my hand. One person said it looks like a small bird. I think it also looks a bit like a dollhouse croissant. Either way, it's tiny and cute.

The extremely sexy horseshoe crab in the foreground has a large, round white tag bolted to her shell like a heavy-gauge piercing, because she's adventurous that way. The tag has black writing on it for identification because she also believes in safety. And science.

It takes a pen this pretty to make me buy a new one - Monteverde MP1 in Mermaid. I like the omniflex nib so much; it plays with my handwriting almost as nicely as the Lamy cursive nib.

Fella tells me this usage has been around for a really long time, my response to which is essentially this:

Jinx was always Jinx from the moment I met him (his fosterer called him Yoda), but his surname (Kittyman) took a while to arrive, & even longer for his middle name (Tiberius, to have the same initials as Kirk)
