It’s the current NC flag, just all in red. The mascot patch is purposely styled like the old school puff chest collegiate mascots bc UNC, Duke, and most importantly (bc Raleigh and they share an arena) NCSU
That’s an homage to the the strutting college mascots that are so popular in this part of NC. I’d like to think it’s mostly inspired by strutting Tuffy (NCSU logo) bc the Hurricanes and NCSU share an arena and colors. But UNC, Duke, and ECU all also have/had that similar 60’s era muscle mascot

Although I will admit that I recently was fed up with all the grey hairs but I’m not permanent dyeing my hair anymore, and maybe as a subconscious rejection of trad wife vibe or nostalgia for my alternative youth, I dyed it purple which looks amazing on the white hairs lol.

This is just a month ago. You can see how fragile and arthritic my boy Otis was. But he was still obviously enjoying life. He went down hill from here. Could barely stand up out of his bed in the morning. So thankful I got to have this good boy in my life for 14+ years. Our home is so quiet now.
I haven’t been on Bluesky much recently-summer has been very busy. Have my son home from college, which is wonderful. But my bestest boy Otis has been basically on doggie hospice for months now. We had to say goodbye yesterday. Had him since he was a pup, for 14 wonderful years, my heart hurts.

You guys! Look how gentle and sweet my great pyr girl Phoebe plays with her very old, very arthritic older brother Otis! How fucking sweet are they? Otis is almost 15 (!) and she is the only one who gets him this playful these days! This is huge activity for him!

Almost all the job loss in that most recent ADP data is from small businesses, so yeah it’s probably bad to see job loss headlines for large businesses starting to hit too.
