I saw momma duck!

A grassy bank in the foreground. From top left to bottom right runs a ditch about 5’ wide and about 2’ deep with a muddy bottom. Two ducks are swimming astern of each other. A larger mallard and a female. The mallard gas an orange bill, black head with white collar. The body is battleship grey on top, white to grey underneath. The tailfeathers are primarily black with a prominent white stripe. The female has a dark bill, grey-brown base feathers with some white and black on the wings. The far bank is shady and covered with some sort of overhanging bush.

I made thing.

It’s a small pouch about 2.5”x 5.5”. It’s made of a white Aida fabric with a lining of bright orange felt. The pouch is a neat rectangular shape. The front of the pouch is mostly filled with a Cypress tree motif in dark blue and sky blue. The tree i surrounded by a crenellated border facing out in pink. There’s a checkerboard motif at the bottom just above a running seam that’s closing the bottom.

The top is finished with a whip stitch and a back stitch that’s holding the lining in place.
