I’ve spent more time outside the past 27 hours than I have in a while: King’s and a Miesville Mudhens game Friday and then at Holman Field on Saturday to see a restored B-29. We saw it fly this morning, but then my ninth-grader and I waited 90 minutes for a little cockpit time.
Ran my son over to Dinkytown and I couldn’t quite capture the red sun in the oh-so-smoky-and-not-okey-dokey skies. But the air has quite the aftertaste.
A little splash of neighborhood color, as seen as my walk home from the replacement buses after work.
Happy Canada Day! It’s be a great day to announce a timetable for opening the Gordie Howe Bridge, whose suspension can be seen in the background in this view captured in my hometown last year.
Congrats to Hull City making the Premier League. Sounds like “Happy Hour”! (Again and Again and Again; It’s Happy Hour Again!)
Wasn’t that the part DiCaprio was playing in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood?”
Southern Minnesota rainbow to welcome us home, near mile marker 34 along I-35 just now.
It’s been so long since I’ve had ketchup chips and a Coffee Crisp. Some treats for my colleagues and me from Canada courtesy of staff at @winnipegfreepress.com For a few moments, a taste of Canadian trips from my Michigan youth. Much appreciated!
No eclipse viewing for me, but I did catch another unique sight in the Minneapolis sky: One of our Southside neighborhood turkeys up a tree.
The sun almost made it to 6 p.m. Still a nice glow in the western sky, as seen from outside Lake Nokomis Community Center at 5:50.
Beautiful day for a walk around Dinkytown and take the boys to watch Gophers wrestling close out the regular season vs. Michigan State.
Another Hockey Night in Minnesota, but with a taste of the U.P.: On the glass for St. Thomas vs. Michigan Tech.
Photo from my drive home after the Wings-Wild game in St. Paul. That’s a real cold one!
And if I only could I'd make a deal with God And I'd get Him to swap our places Be runnin' up that road Be runnin' up that hill Be runnin' up that building Say, if I only could, oh
I didn’t know about this when I went looking for a Jonas with a Minnesota connection, but here you go: A Minnesota Marshalls Novel.
