Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow.
I know my east coast friends and colleagues in Canada and the US are suffering far worse, but the overnight snow here has been something to behold. 13cm so far, and another 13cm due in the next 24 hours. Bamberg suits the snow at least!

It's been a busy few weeks settling in here in Bamberg, but I'm finding my footing! The view from outside the humanities faculty is breathtaking
On my way back to England from Frankfurt, I've made a brief detour to the Netherlands. I picked the perfect afternoon to drop into Leiden! I can't recall it ever being so sunny or mild in December before
