Excellent review, and well worth reading. I will never forget how the anti-vaxers convinced millions to reject the vaccine. I suspect most covid deaths after spring of 2021 (after vaccines were widely available) were due to the right wing's fomenting of fear and distrust.

Great story! If farmers need to reduce water usage by fallowing their fields, those who are the largest users (IID & PVID) will expect to be well paid to give up "their" water. I think Phoenix and LA could afford it.
I wonder if there's a way to opt out of data collection. Given the tech ghouls behind this, I tend to doubt it.
A better solution, or at least one I've enjoyed, is the minibike-like rental Lime Glider. Much more stable and safer than a scooter's footboard, much more maneuverable and comfortable that a full sized bike. They're capped at 15 mph -- slow enough (and low enough) to keep the fall risk low(er).

Looking into the results, I'm struck by how much Trump's approval has absolutely CRATERED among his under 50 2024 voters. Down 25-38 points! Good news for purple state candidates like Platner and Talarico.
A lot of people aren't very good with numbers. But most admit it. Unlike these twits, starting with "if it goes from 100 to 600, that's 600%." An example why it's wrong: Going from 100 to 150 is a 50% rise. From 100 to 200 is a 100% rise (a doubling) 100 to 300 is 200%. And 200 to 600 is 500%.
Maybe the only good news regarding MAGA bible-thumpers is that their numbers are in decline:
Is a schism developing between White Christian Nationalism not only Catholicism, but all the other non-maga Protestant congregations as well? White Christianity versus Black/Brown/non-maga Christianity? Wonder how Hindus see this?
