Beautiful night for soccer at Lexington Sports Complex. Here’s my guy and that sunset!
Part of the America 250 Celebration in Lexington, KY today. Husband played and sang with the Dixieland Band
Ok I promised to post positive too. Here is a pic from our Music in the Garden on Thursday evening.
View from the porch at Louie’s Upstairs Key West, FL November 2025
Was reminded today to post the good stuff more often. Will post food porn and travel pics more often.
Dinner tonight is eggplant Parmesan. I love this recipe because the eggplant is baked rather than fried.
Must post this picture of the burgoo I made for Derby Day. There’s the Keeneland recipe and then there’s the Better Homes and Garden May 2026 excellent recipe!
Foreigner 4 Last night was a powerful show with new band members rocking out the tunes of the ‘70’s and ‘80’s. Lou Gramm on stage in his 80’s. I can’t believe I knew most of the words! I used to dance the night away in the Library Disco tech Lounge every Friday night to these songs and more.
The Friday Sabbatical: a place for quiet, calm, a breeze, and a glass of wine while reading a novel for the Literary Ladies Book Club. The novel is The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict. Gorgeous day here!
#MonochromeMonday There is a mammal (possibly a racoon) hanging from a branch of a very tall tree in the yard on windy day. Talk about taking a wrong turn!
Did I share with you a picture from the Metamora monastery in Greece?
I walked from the Convention Center to the garden. It didn’t seem so far except for the climb, but what a view! My mother had died that year. She loved roses so I toured the Rose Garden before the Japanese Garden. I took this selfie in memory of her:
Visited this garden in 2016 and treasure the experience. I was alone and a photographer offered to take my photo in front of a waterfall.
My dear friend and I made Fasulye Piyazi (Turkish White Bean Salad) for dinner tonight! It was served with a Turkish white wine from Central Anatolia.
Christmas morning coffee and whole wheat pancakes made by favorite coffee guy. Two batches of marble bark chocolate and semi sweet chocolate with salted nuts. Everything is cleaned up. Darn just remembered I meant to make peppermint bark. Oh well, Merry Christmas anyway.
#catsofbluesky #cats husband’s cat died a few months ago. He was the neighborhood cat and all the other cats stayed out his territory. Today I found these new cats facing off out front. Welcome to the neighborhood! Ya’ll behave.
Thanksgiving leftovers given new life. Followed the Kentucky Hot Brown tradition tonight. Yum!
