I don't know if Downtown Vancouver is responsible for the Plaza of Nations, or someone else, but it could sure use some decent planning love. Presently an abysmal waste of an ideal waterfront people place.
These are the four service men and women recently killed in Trump's Iran war. 18 have been killed in all so far. I wonder how their parents feel having their children killed for no reason. So far there's no nuclear deal (like the one Obama administration negotiated) and no other rationale.
What a sad waste of ideal waterfront public gathering space. Plaza of Nations is a disgrace.
Been a long time since I ran the seawall. Longest run since surgery by far.
Last time we lived in Vancouver, they hadn't completed the section of the bike path by Kits Beach. So nice to see it finally done and a massive improvement.
Walked down to Canada Day @ Canada Place Not much going on this early, but nice to see a good turnout.

Pretty sure the measures they have taken to improve the Colwood Crawl aren't working. Traffic simply expands to fill up capacity unless you do other things, like improve transit, congestion pricing, build affordable housing, etc.
How on earth can the city of #Colwood not have a crosswalk with flashing lights at Painter to cross Metchosin Road? Painter is a designated bike route and Metchosin is nonstop cars. I am really growing to hate running, walking and riding around here.

As someone who suffered far worse injuries than his wife, he had me until near the end ... I'm not lawsuit-happy at all but there needs to be something more than the lump sum payments I got when you are nearly killed.

Gee, maybe I had a 435% increase in 2025 over 2024 in my total distance, due to nearly being killed (and sustaining life-altering injuries, including becoming immunocompromised and a traumatic brain injury) in April of that year while riding my bike. #visionzero #carelessdriver
