“Now, you know he had one bad moment, that was the Jan. 6 thing when he stood up, ‘All right, now I’ve had it, that’s it, I can’t do it anymore,'And then he called me about 40 minutes later, and he said, ‘Did I really say that? I can’t believe it.’ And he took it back.” - Trump on “Fox & Friends”
I spoke to Mitch McConnell for 20 minutes. I told him to keep his chin up.
Not even Trump’s own Supremely Corrupt Court could bring itself to rule that Trump isn’t a rapist. And now … time for Don to pay up. Thank you, E. Jean! @ejeancarroll.bsky.social

Donald Trump need not apply ... Visiting the building where they give out the Nobel Peace Prize (top), as well as the Nobel Peace Center, in Oslo. So happy to see Pride flags on both buildings. PEACE!
I'm shocked, saddened and infuriated that my good friend, fantastic DJ, and wonderful human Bret Saunders has been fired from his 28+ years on-air role at Denver's KBCO by the soulless corporate overlords at iHeartMedia. @bretsaunders.bsky.social

SCOTTISH RESISTANCE: At first glance, this photo in Scotland’s National Portrait Gallery appeared to be a somewhat unremarkable homage to “American Gothic.” Then I read the info plaque next to it …
The Democrat "autopsy report," reflecting on why they lost the last presidential election, makes no mention of Gaza. That's dishonest, counterproductive, and shameful. (Cartoon from 2024, a million years ago)
As The Late Show Finale approaches, here’s some graffiti stencil art I created for a GQ photo shoot with Stephen Colbert in 2017:
Revisiting a mural I was commissioned to create nearly 20 years ago (!!) by my friends Cheri and Ken.
One bright spot in the wake of CBS capitulating to the grievances of Trump was David Letterman appearing on The Late Show last week - and him throwing things off the roof of the Ed Sullivan Theater with Stephen Colbert. @letterman.bsky.social @colbertlateshow.bsky.social @jasonzinoman.bsky.social
@sfitz787.bsky.social continues her excellent reporting for @theatlantic.com . I used to enjoy Woodford Reserve Bourbon, but I can't stomach any distillery that would produce this. Patel is an utter disgrace, his hissy-fit appearance before congress yesterday just the latest, pathetic example.
2/2 Additionally, this delightful Bluesky post by a woman who not only dressed as the “Sinister Minnesotans” in the cartoon (complete with the plaid pants) but also created her own “Suspicious Hot Dish” dish. It just goes to show there are a lot of Sickos out there.
1/2 This past winter, this Stan Kelly cartoon led to a charity sale of “Sinister Minnesotans” T-shirts. All profits were donated by Mr. Kelly and The Onion to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, and I’m happy and humbled to report we raised over $37K!
BELATED CONGRATULATIONS to my friends, the super-talented cartoonists Matt Wuerker - winner of this year's Berryman Award - and Jack Ohman - winner of this year's Herblock Prize. Way to go, both of you!! @mwuerker.bsky.social @jackohman.bsky.social
I created a mural for the newly renovated offices of The Onion, illustrating some of their classic stories and iconic characters: @theonion.com
Huge congrats to my friends @ivan-ehlers.bsky.social and @pkuper.bsky.social for being named Pultizer Finalists this year!! (Ivan's piece below is "Billionaire Merit Badges" for @newyorker.com )
