Master's Student-Molecular/Cellular Biology
I know im the outlier, but I love presenting at conferences. Had so much fun at EMU GRCAC today!
How do I know I'm a biologist? My first thought after finding eggs on my spinach leaf was to take pictures so I can ID them later. 🤣
Staring at my fly cause my brain is done learning today. Send caffeine and willpower!
Kept the holiday small this year, bit that meant I could try out new recipes. This pumpkin cake with pecan was my favorite new dish. Definitely adding it to my recipe book!
Only got to hike once this week. But found some nice flowers and mushroom. Aiming for two hikes this week. For now, back to papers and presentations.
I've been going on weekly hikes since starting grad school. It's such a great way to wrap up a stressful week.
After 6 months of uncertainty, I can finally say that I will be starting my masters in molecular/cellular biology at Eastern Michigan University! For those like me who lost postbacc opportunities due to cuts, I hope you too can find a way to keep your training going.
I got to pick up my diploma today! It took 13 years to earn this honor. I'm finally a college graduate! I may not have gotten into a PhD. program this cycle, but this piece of paper reminds me I have the drive to keep moving towards my dream, no matter how long it takes.
Last peice till I find a studio, an ant teaset for my sister. She studied ants and loves them so, I made a custom set for her. This is definitely one I want to do again.
Spending my Christmas baking bread and reading a great Christmas present. I have the best sister on the planet!
I'm going to miss ceramics. One of my last projects, a neuron with c.elegans crawing on it.
Had an amazing time at #abrcms2024 Glad to finish my undergraduate at such an exciting conference!
