oooh, those brass ones are amazing! wish i still had one. for years now i have mostly used a metal 2mm koh-i-noor with staedtler lumicrom blue and a 3mm metal body caran d'ache for regular lead. (pencil perverts unite)

been drawing cars too this sketchbook paper is too slick for my taste, making my more traditional inking feel & look less fun so i'm just gonna blast through it with ballpoint. shame, cause it's clearly nice & expensive paper but i need some more tooth

i enjoyed the abandoned washimg machine in front of million dollar+ homes too

quick trip into forest park before it got too hot

tiny rock strewn stream and a whole bunch of green trees, ferns and moss. i tiny pit of the sky is visible and the sun that steaks down has backlit leaves making them much brighter

this full bleed splash page and section of another page in the recent follow up "uri tupka and the gods" are just bouncing around in my head today. i'm a hellboy nut through and through, but mignola's new fairy tale work is some of his best comics to date

re-read mignola's 'bowling for corpses" before tucking into his new one tonight. continuing to be at the top of his game and the little b&w section of unused/reworked pages at the end is hust the icing on the cake for me

the cover has the usual mignola goodies, bones, bats, chuthulu creatures, creaky old houses, and a corpse in white behind a kid holdimg a skull like a bowling ball

an unused black and white 7 panel page at the end of the book with no lettering. mignola's design and storytelling genious on display with lovely blacks hitting all the right high contrast notes

reposting an oldie for this #makeaterriblecomicday but it is definitely the most terrible comic i've ever made. it's also probably the best one as well
