search sucks on here so i couldn't find it on his feed, but it turns out i had this nightmare saved in my pics that is even more relevant today
oooh, those brass ones are amazing! wish i still had one. for years now i have mostly used a metal 2mm koh-i-noor with staedtler lumicrom blue and a 3mm metal body caran d'ache for regular lead. (pencil perverts unite)
my partner makes very cute pouty faces that are hard to capture. i still try
been drawing cars too this sketchbook paper is too slick for my taste, making my more traditional inking feel & look less fun so i'm just gonna blast through it with ballpoint. shame, cause it's clearly nice & expensive paper but i need some more tooth
super quick attempt (30-45 sec?) at drawing my partner while they were talking. like the gesture even if i didn't get to capture as much info as i wanted
went to block someone for defending their decision to continue supporting the maine guy after his nazi tattoo came out and hilariously their header was a swastika with a line through it
i enjoyed the abandoned washimg machine in front of million dollar+ homes too
ryall pretending not to know is so fucking gross. stumbled across the letterer posting his stuff on here too, and i know it's fucking rough out there for everyone, but have some fucking shame & use a pen name or something. dude seems like he dissagrees with byrne on everything so i don't get it
this full bleed splash page and section of another page in the recent follow up "uri tupka and the gods" are just bouncing around in my head today. i'm a hellboy nut through and through, but mignola's new fairy tale work is some of his best comics to date
re-read mignola's 'bowling for corpses" before tucking into his new one tonight. continuing to be at the top of his game and the little b&w section of unused/reworked pages at the end is hust the icing on the cake for me
i'm originally from ohio (my entire extended family succesfully escaped) so a friend reached out to ask my thoughts on a queer person moving to akron, and jesuschrist nonononono
reposting an oldie for this #makeaterriblecomicday but it is definitely the most terrible comic i've ever made. it's also probably the best one as well
found an old sketchbook that i abondoned years ago. paper is super slick but pretty beefy. quick brush test over a light blue line sketch to see how it handles
back is slowly getting better so i went on a little walk to get coffee and say high to my neighbors
quote with your yellow art (i really like using yellow - specifically holbien naples yellow- when i work in gouache, but can't find any pics on my phone right now)
my partner is still salty about it because they were originally supposed to do it but got sick and i filled in last min. i'm super allergic to cats, so they always loooooove me. it's my blessing & curse
i love how these dogwood flowers are losing their pigment as the bloom dies
