She abandoned the nest about 7:30pm last night, day 12. Early but maybe she laid the eggs earlier and i just missed it. I’ll give it a few days, if she doesn’t come back, I’ll take the eggs out. Normally they disappear early July and don’t return until September. 🪶 📷 #Wildlife #nature #cam

The pool is getting a tad warm. But there are still 7 nighthawks flying around. Maybe next time I’ll get my phone sooner and take their pic as they flyover. Of course, they’ll probably migrate out tomorrow since I said that.

This hole shows up in my yard every summer in the same place. I had problems probing it last year but will try again tonight. I’m guessing mouse but weird location for it. And my camera has finally been shipped back from repair. Almost 3 months of hell.

Hole about 2” in diameter dug straight down about 3” into the desert sand.
