Finally the one I enjoy the outcome of the most, another rescue, this time my third and final Skorpekh Lord. Originally it had a poorly applied seastone green colour that I didn't want, so I went over it with my colours, but decided to keep it on the headdress and shendyt as a nice accent and homage

I love the design of the Geomancer, she has such a kool and unique profile/aesthetic mixing the canoptek arthropod look with the elegant vizier vibe of the Necron range. Stellar. Loved painting her. Too bad they made her basically unplayable.

Bought these Canoptek Tomb Crawlers pre-owned and they were covered in this awful, splotchy, low grade 'sparkly' silver paint. Had to rescue them with my colours, I think they turned out fairly well. Glad to have a pair of these finally.

Got a second Doomsday Ark. Went back to my silver/purple scheme on this one, a little blue for tech highlights. Not a fan of how the green wash over black turned out on my first. C'est la vie. Looks more sleek this way I think.

Been too busy to post all my new painted models so here's a painted models thread: First up, 10 Gauss Blaster Immortals. I think I've figured out how to build Necron infantry much faster/smoother than when I first started. Colours a little different from my first set, more silver this time.

Played my first match of the new Warhammer 40k league tonight against an opponent playing Admech, whose army is all pastel Hello Kitty coloured and glitter bases. Respect. I feel bad for absolutely steamrollering him 100-39. Spent all game barely killing the Nightbringer, couldn't handle the rest.

I've befriended this new guy in the local Warhammer scene and have been teaching him how to play and as thanks he 3d printed me a Necron Monolith. Just finished painting this thing up, it looks so damn sick. Never thought I'd get to own one.

Finished painting up my Thousand Sons Rhino. This old ass kit doesn't even have numbered sprues. Hard to tell in the photo but I used Ahriman Blue (a more turqoise tone) to give some contrast on some of the separate sections like the hatches, plates and add-ons.

Last Warhammer post today, finished painting my Rubric Marines. best bolters in the game. Sick models. but glad i don't have to paint more of these thanks to the used ones I got a few weeks ago.

went to my LGS to play my second match of 11th edition. won the match, picked up the last thing I need for my Thousand Sons army. not used to needing transports.

Someone at my LGS sold their Necrons stuff so I picked up some (cheap) Skorpekhs, Flayed Ones, a Royal Warden and my third Canoptek Doomstalker. so glad I dont have to build Flayed Ones. love the electric blue on these guys.

After far too many hours I have finished painting up my 10 man squad of Scarab Occult Terminators. The trim on these was definitely exhausting. But I'm glad to have them done, they look pretty fuckin sick.

I was lucky enough to come across these in my LGS' used minis section - two entire squads of Rubric Marines, a Chaos Terminator Sorcerer, and Ahriman. All already painted in silver and purple (my Necrons scheme). I couldn't pass up the opportunity to pick em up (cheaper than buying them new in box).

Finished the Scarab Occult Sorcerer who will be leading my Scarab Occult Terminators. I think this is the most time I've ever spent on a single model at this size, about 8 hours painting. So many tiny details but I wanted to at least make this guy pop.

Painted up some more evil space wizards. Another Exalted Sorcerer on the right, and the left is an Infernal Master. I enjoy how dynamic they all are, feel pretty distinct. the Master's little Screamers flying on some eddys of magic is a nice touch too.

Partner and I went to the Goodwill that opened next to my house and we found this photo album book from Japan and it was stuffed full of Japanese newspaper clippings. Fascinating stuff, so curious how it ended up here of all places. One of the clippings was dated to 1963, so its quite old.

Finished up my first Exalted Sorcerer. I think his extremely oversized staff is incredibly funny. "This is how you know i'm EXALTED" dude put that thing away. I like how the colours turned out, trim isn't as bad as I thought.

Painted up my Mutalith Vortex Beast. This was a fun one to paint. This thing is an eldritch horror incomprehensible to mortal eyes. Very vibrant. I like how it turned out.

Also got three Tzaangor Enlightened with Fatecaster Greatbows to go with my new Shaman. Paint job on them is more muted version of the Shaman since they're not psykers, but wanted to show off some variety in their disk schemes. I like the trio.

Painted up my Tzaangor Shaman. These mutant goat/bird-human hybrids are so twisted by magic and chaos that I just wanted to give him a more abstract paint job, really reflect the insanity and incomprehensible nature of them.

Got my first Thousand Sons model painted up, the Daemon Prince of Tzeentch on foot. This fucker has so much trim. But he turned out pretty well I think for my first non-Necrons model.

I had zero plans to start a new Warhammer army this year but someone on the local discord was selling a bunch of unopened boxes at a pretty good discount. So I guess now I'm starting a Thousand Sons army. Second koolest faction in 40k. Not looking forward to having to paint all this damn trim.

Last night I played my first match of our 40K Teams League, and it was also my first time playing against Ultramarines. I'm being used as a 'blunter' to keep other teams best lists from scoring too highly. I lost, 8-12, but it was a small one, so our team ended up taking the round.

Back from my very first Warhammer tournament. Ended up going 2-1, round three was against the one person I didn't want to face in this - the judge who I lost to in my league match months ago. He absolutely annihilated me, 99-32. Feels like he's playing another game entirely. Not bad overall.

Final big project before 11th edition is done. Behold, the Doomsday Ark - that's right, it's just a big ass boat for lugging around the overpowered Doomsday Cannon. I hated building this thing, but I like how the paint job turned out at least, I like the glow-y green vibe of the hull.

Closeup of the C'tan being utilized as a living battery to power the throne. Brutal. Nightbringer and Warrior for scale, the central throne/Szarekh model is absolutely massive, easily the tallest in the Necron range and on a huge base. Only competition for bigger might be the Doomsday Ark.
