Among the train station hubbub, Lynietta's voice was soft behind him, but Xin still caught it. “Xin. Wait."
He turned to face her. “Hm?”
She seemed to hesitate. Was that a blush crawling up her ears? Before Xin could ask, Lynietta heaved a shaky sigh, took his hand in hers, and raised it up to press the back of his fingers against her lips.
Xin froze.
Unceremoniously, Lynietta dropped his hand and mumbled, “Thanks for today."
“O-o-o-o-o-o-offffff c-c-c-c—”
Shit. He coughed. It’d been so long since Xin had stuttered so badly, or been caught off-guard by such a lovely — lovely. Did he really just think of something as lovely? Geezus, Lyn was doing disgusting things to him.
He pushed away the idea of kissing his hand where she had; to place his lips onto even just the memory of hers would have been sacrilege. Instead, “Of course,” he signed, and slipped his mask back over his nose before Lyn could catch the colour in his cheeks.
Despite himself, Xin couldn't help but send a text on the train.
Sent text: "i'm never washing my hand from now on jsyk :)"
Received text: "You're cooking tonight. Please wash your hands before handling food."
Sent text: "will you kiss it again if i do :("

You can participate with as few or as many characters uploaded as you wish (up to the 100 character limit, that is)! The amount of characters you have on your account does not affect your participation in any way. Additionally, you may choose to participate with 0 characters visible on your account, which means you would be able to attack others, but not be attacked by them.

Stoic and quiet, but earnest in her efforts and not unkind.

Lynietta presents herself as cool and capable, and might even think of herself that way but, much to her chagrin, her friends and coworkers coddle her. Having just gotten out of two years of prison, her skill set is limited. The arts are her strong area -- especially anything music-related -- but everything outside of that has a considerable chance of combusting in a dumpster fire. She is surprisingly prone to breaking things.

Still, her work at Cherry Lane Florist & Stationery is much appreciated. Customers find her ever-present frown to be off-putting, but frequently compliment her floral arrangements.

Sophie's testimony, as her best friend: "Fun fact: if you hand her stuff without saying anything, she'll just hold it. My record is 8 books, 3 mugs, a loaf of bread, and a chihuahua. She dropped everything once I gave her the chihuahua. And then, uh, kept holding it while we cleaned up the broken mugs on the floor... She loves dogs!"

Xin (pronounced sin or shin, either way works) is a young man with dark messy hair that falls into his eyes. One of his eyes is brown and the other is yellow. He has light freckled skin and wears black techwear-aesthetic clothing with yellow accents and daisy motifs. In this image, he's carrying a backpack full of daisies.

Cheerful, always laughing at something. Friends with everyone and no one.

Xin cannot sit still. Always fidgeting and always on the move, he has led a nomadic lifestyle living out of his car for the last two years -- until now. He struck a deal to earn a room in Lynietta's home, but still works numerous odd jobs to keep them both afloat.

He speaks with a stutter, but not when signing or singing; his preferred languages are Auslan and music.
