Just wrapped it up and it rocked the whole way through even with some of the esoteric bullshit sprinkled throughout (tbh it added flavor). One of the best rpgs of this era for sure. This version of the story is way more interesting than Memories of Celceta!
Been using the 8bitdo PC Engine style controller to play through Ys and man, these Famicom derivative controllers are kinda uncomfy. Buttons side by side instead of diagonal is just weird for most things. Also I feel like this specific pad drops dpad inputs sometimes
