The main answer to that is VOTER SUPPRESSION! We have off-cycle elections designed to keep working folks out of the process. That will change when the Council majority flips! We will align our elections with major elections. It looks like many groups are working together to make it happen.
I remember the Birchers’ booth at the uptown markets but now we are more likely to see LALO’s booth with prints of resistance (like his loteria series). So why are we still allowing neoBirchers (Mayor’s official photo👇) to run the city? We need the people who show up to no kings to show up to vote!
