Zinnia now fortified with random junk I found lying around. Again, much like my mental health.

The poor pink zinnia is now surrounded by a 5-foot-tall metal tomato cage placed upside down, two broken bricks, and a grey pot containing a dead cornflower. It continues to sit right next to a hideous road.

Why yes, Metro Stormwater, I’d love to walk in the road instead of on the sidewalk, thanks for the opportunity

A white ford pickup with a yellow light on top is parked on the sidewalk, completely blocking it. The road is checkered with asphalt from various developers tearing it up, and there’s a big black stripe next to the sidewalk where Google Fiber dug a trench and covered it with way too much tar. There is no buffer between the sidewalk and the road but I can’t complain because at least this tiny street has a sidewalk.

Somebody left a full coneflower plant in bloom next to my driveway? Not much in the way of roots, but some, so I’ve plopped it in a pot for now to see if I can save it. No clue where it came from, but I’m okay with my neighbors thinking I’m some sort of sanctuary

My backyard is one giant mosquito right now. They are laughing at my dunks. They are doing the backstroke in my buckets of doom. I went out to take pictures of my flowers and lost 30% of my blood. 🌱

SAFE STREETS NOW

A memorial sign my friend Kim made for Billy Ray, who was killed by an 18 wheeler here.
