If you want slice of life sci-fi aboard a gigantic space station or watching the butterfly effect unfold as you meddle with the timeline then check out Hopes and Dreams of the Orbital Bound and The Words We Leave Behind on the @ipr.bsky.social booth 449 at #GenCon this weekend
After the heat of the last few weeks I'm enjoying it being cool enough to work away in the office and make progress on a few models.
The Words We Leave Behind is nominated for best indie RPG in the 2026 @critawards.bsky.social. Voting is now open at linktr.ee/critawards but where can you find it in print?
Oh wow, The Words We Leave Behind has been nominated for best indie RPG in the @critawards.bsky.social ! Please go check out all the nominees and register your vote! Also massive thanks @carlydraws.bsky.social (art) and @emzyesque.bsky.social (editing) for their work on bringing the game to life.
What sort of games do you make Craig? Uplifting and light hearted? I added two more books recently to my growing collection that complement the game I've submitted for Dragonmeet.
My expo haul for the year, a selection of RPGs, minis and board games. I'm especially looking forward to trying out my first gunpla model and suspect that I'll be running Decaying Orbit at a future Diversity and Dragons evening soon in Chester.
It's the final day of UKGE, find my games at: The Words We Leave Behind - rewrite history and unleash the butterfly effect in this duet/solo time travel RPG. @patchworkfez.bsky.social stand 4-912. Project Cassandra - Stop the Cold War from turning hot. @uktin.bsky.social stand 3-510
If you're not at the convention or want to check out my wider catalogue they're available from my webstore. As a bonus if you're attending Origins in the US then @ipr.bsky.social will be selling both The Words We Leave Behind and Hopes and Dreams of the Orbital Bound. lunarshadowrpg.sumupstore.com
If you want a little more action then Project Cassandra is my game of Cold War psychics trying to prevent an apocalyptic vision from coming to pass. It includes a selection of characters and two short missions inspired by real events. Get it from UK TIN stand 3-510
The Words We Leave Behind is a duet/solo time travel journaling RPG - rewrite history one event at a time and watch as the butterfly effect cascades down the timeline. It'll be available from @patchworkfez.bsky.social on stand 4-912.
I've posted about the stands you should visit if you're at UK Games Expo this weekend and if you do I'd love you to check my two games that will be available from two of them.
@josh-hivemindgames.bsky.social, one half of Manchester's amazing store @relicandroll.bsky.social are at 3A-101 with a wide range of games including Brother, Why?
@buttonkin.bsky.social is at 4-223 featuring games exploring unusual themes with deeper meaning. Look for the llama!
At 2-822 you can find @loottheroom.bsky.social with their range of Wretch & Alone and More Borg games and adventures. I couldn't find a stall stand picture so instead here's one of my current favourite from them, Blood in the Margins.
More stalls! So many stalls!!! @badsquiddogames.bsky.social made awesome and believable femme miniatures with ranges spanning historical, sci-fi, fantasy and beyond. They're at 3-913.
Also in hall 3A is @montfordtales.com, with their range of games for small groups including a number of amazing epistolary games
You'll find @armadajosh.bsky.social, @beckyannison.bsky.social and special guest @ickbat.bsky.social over at stand 3A-407 - they're running 1 hour demos of their games all weekend, including of some that aren't out yet.
Where else will I be visiting? The water fountains until they inevitably break. The halls are going to be hot this weekend so make sure you stay hydrated and step outside to get some air when you can.
Over at stand 3-601 you can grab the award winning Tales of the Old West from @effektpodcast.org Those are the first batch, I'll add more later once I escape the day job.
Expo is tomorrow so here's my shortlist of stands you should visit, starting with @uktin.bsky.social at stand 3-510, selling a range of RPGs from smaller creators. My own Project Cassandra will be available from them and I'll be working the stand on Saturday so please say hello!
I finally opened the last bottle of whisky I received for my 40th. I don't normally go in for anything other than single malt but this is nice and the 5 year maturation has taken smoothed the roughness down. Being 59.7% will help make it last!
I've got to wait for it to cool but it smells delicious 😋 Lost most of the definition on the braid and some height during cooking but for a first attempt I'm very pleased.
Because just doing a BBQ later isn't enough on a bank holiday weekend I thought I'd try making chocolate orange brioche for the first time. Now to chill the dough before shaping.
I don't get through as many books as I used to so crossing off 4 (and with 2 in progress) this holiday has felt good. I must be stricter with my phone use in the evenings once I'm home.
Visited the Caves of Drach and I once again found myself thinking how dark and dangerous caves and dungeons would be in D&D type worlds. There was a short live music concert from a boat where they turned off most of the lights apart from those around the performers. Visibility was virtually zero.
On the other hand I finally settled on a mix for the retro Space Wolves armour. Felt good to get the base coat on and then to start blocking out the main colours.
