🔎 For many factual questions, querying structured data (like Wikidata) is cheaper, more efficient, and easier to verify.
🔗 GLAMs should host their own data on a Wikibase instance, not just Wikidata — Wikidata is a secondary/tertiary knowledge graph referencing existing sources, not an authority for original publication.
📈 Uploading a dataset to Wikidata doesn't make it valuable on its own — it needs people to add references, update info, improve quality, and connect it to Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons.
🏛️ Many GLAM/memory institutions support open access for humans but are increasingly cautious about unrestricted AI use — citing lost attribution, missing context, and lack of reciprocity.
