REPEATING-I BLOCK DMs !! Mom to 1 lovely daughter & 1 Sr cat. Looking forward to the midterms to flip the house & senate and take our country back! Current interests and pursuits: Wildlife, climate crisis, politics, nature, gardening, travel, baseball⚾️🌺🐿️🐈⬛
I also have a cat who lost about 1/2 of both of his ears due to cancer. No recurrence thankfully! I now paint his ears with zinc oxide on the few occasions when I left him go outside with me for awhile. My Casper, 18 yrs old.
What a lovely cat! I have Casper and Charlie, both of whom will turn 18 this summer. They’ve both been with me since they were just a few weeks old.
That’s a real beauty! I have 3 that come every evening for grapes, dry cat food, & fresh corn that I put out for them. They’re very skittish, but I get to watch them from my window which is only about 15 feet from them.
My 2 17 yr olds have no tails at all. That was a common trait among feral cats in our area years ago when they were born. No tails or 1/2 tails or nubs! I’ve never heard of the kinked tail! This pic isn’t the best for showing off Casper’s lack of a tail, but he hasn’t even a nub!
Reminds me of my own Redman who just showed up & stole my heart! We loved each other for 5 years before he died. He would wash his face at the bathroom lavatory every night with me as I washed mine, bathe outside the shower doors as I showered. That’s him rubbing his face on his own bar of soap. ❤️💔
I have dozens of clusters like these next to all of my plants! That’s a photo of my first bloom this year, on January 1. Out of curiosity, with you being in the Pacific Northwest, when do yours start blooming? I didn’t remember mine blooming as early as Jan 1. I have seen them blooming in snow, tho.
I love Columbine! I’ve never planted it but it was one of my favorites in my grandmother’s yard when I was growing up. I mainly grow irises, hellebores, and poison ivy. I used to enter my irises in shows & win ribbons, now I just enjoys them. I’ve never enjoyed growing anything more than hellebores!
I got a photo of one of my barred owls last week. It always perches in the same spindly little tree in my side yard when he visits. Once it sees me, it cuts the visit short, therefore the not so great quality of the photo. I also saw a pileated woodpecker recently, but I couldn’t get a good shot.
This one. Because it’s true. I try to limit posting memes, but it’s hard sometimes. I didn’t want to repost this one before investigating its validity, & found it to be horrendously accurate, along with Putin’s feelings of disdain for treaties. He never intends to abide by them . Why trust him now?
I have foxes too, & they socialize well with the others. The mother raccoons usually send their youngest ones up the closest tree, though.
Friend sent me this today. Her grandmother bought her this Tesla about a year ago. I was encouraging her to get rid of it.This is the sticker she put on it. She said she couldn’t afford to get rid of it right now, so the sticker was the best she could do.
Does Michael Cohen remind anyone else of Ben Stein? I think he sort of looks and sounds like him.
Try them on dry cat food and red seedless grapes. They will become genetically programmed to stay for generations. At least 18-19 years. Probably longer. I speak from experience.
I’m in the southeast and about 1/4 of mine just popped open overnight this weekend. My hellebores, Lenten roses are nearly in full bloom, 1st one spotted on January 1. They are early bloomers, never THIS early.
Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy Birthday to my daddy who would have been 105 today on Christmas Eve! He loved Christmas and was always so jolly, adding last minute gifts under the tree, singing, smiling. Merry Christmas too Daddy. ❤️❤️🎶 I
Thank you so much. I followed them all. I have a lovely small group of foxes that come to my home most evenings to eat undisturbed. They are such beautiful creatures. I love watching them from my window. They mingle peacefully with the other wildlife. 😊
My dad was a Marine in WWII. I’d like to say thank you to all Veterans who have served our country with honor like my dad
